I am a CPA with more than 25 years of professional experience across an unusually broad scope of industries.

I have 13 years background in Public Accounting, with partnership level responsibilities in engagement performance for many clients in many different industries of all sizes, for many different types of tax, audit, and turnkey accounting engagements.

I have spent 12 years in industry accounting as the acting Controller for a mid-size Organization where I am completely responsible for the knowledge, performance, maintenance and design of the accounting system, the HR system and compliance with all federal, state and specialized industry tax filings as well as cash flow management, budgeting, and banking.

I spent two years in big Industry, as an Assistant to the Controller in a major multi-billion dollar mortgage banking firm where my primary responsibility was designing and preparing management reports to assess departmental and consolidated results of an insurance division, along with banking, treasury, G/L, A/P and reconciliation duties.

Responsible for complete accounting system, acting in Controller capacity. Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of all accounting, treasury, finance, audit and tax processes as well as special projects and custom-tailored problem-solving solutions. Advanced budget and Excel training for systems process and analysis. Hands-on cross-training and oversight of non-accounting personnel in Payroll and Accounts Payable under both Quckbooks and One Write systems. 2 full mid-year Accounting System conversions with attendant journal entries, reconcilations and employee training.

Financial: Perform all general ledger and financial statement functions. Know and adhere to OCBOA/GAAP and applicable industry standards. Perform analytical review of results. Budget setup & analyze. Financial: Monthly maintenance of the complete financial records of numerous corporate clients, including general ledger maintenance and review, financial statement preparation and analysis, asset management.

Management Consulting/Controller: Review and restructure financial information to analyze specific areas of operations. Identify income/expense trends; track various product lines performance. Set up of computer systems, including hardware and software selections, training of staff and conversion of existing accounts. Communications software & hardware.

Audit: Perform financial and internal audits. Test financial statements for conformity with GAAP and review internal control structures for adequacy. Recommend changes that improve efficiency and control over company assets.

Accounting: Responsible for the development and maintenance of monthly managerial financial reports. Analysis of financial data of 10 different companies utilizing various Lotus 123 and dBase III models. Consolidation of financial statements. Maintenance of corporate general ledger through journal entries summarizing divisional companies' PC-based general ledgers and overhead cost allocations.

Management Consulting/Controller: Compile budget models and analyze monthly variances to identify operational trends and problems. Produce sales forecast models to analyze potential for new product lines. Cash management & treasury: tracking daily cash flow, making transfers, adjusting investments to maximize income, A/P for 10 companies. Assist in the development, documentation and implementation of Divisional "Accounting Policies and Procedures Manual".
